 Exterior View Main Dining RoomExterior DetailTyler House Dining Hall and Dormitory Renovation This Dining Hall was one of two we designed to help Smith College consolidate its dining facilities. A new "house" was added to a substantial brick dormitory. It contains a series of dining rooms to serve 120 students, and provides a visual transition between the dormitory and nearby single family houses. Work included a fully equipped commercial kitchen and new loading docks and amenities, all handicapped accessible. As the second phase of this project, we designed renovations to the existing four story brick dormitory. Work included new interior finishes throughout the building, full compliance with accessibility codes, systems upgrades, a new slate roof, and exterior brick repair. This project was completed with no disruption to student life.
