We designed this house in the tradition of the great, turn of the century lakeside "cottages," with a variety of connections to the outdoors and a richly modulated roofline. Together with the owners, we developed a design that minimizes disruption to the densely wooded site and includes not only the main house but both s gatehouse and a boathouse, all connected by a long, winding driveway.

The heart of this project is the main house's Living Room, a double height space with library balconies, a masonry fireplace, and a wrap around, two-level porch with unique views of Lake Winnipesaukee.
